A Holistic Curriculum for Future Designers
At PSID, our curriculum combines general education subjects with foundational design concepts like color theory and the elements of design to build a strong creative foundation. As part of this journey, the study of history plays a vital role, offering students a deeper understanding of design evolution and its cultural significance.
Practical skills such as drawing, ergonomics, and hand and digital rendering are introduced step by step, alongside essential soft skills and management classes in ethics, business, and accounting. Every aspect is designed with the end goal in mind: preparing well-rounded, skilled designers ready to excel in the field. Furthermore, the curriculum includes key technical subjects: materials and methods, research, and commercial interior design. The program culminates with a 150-hour apprenticeship and the exhibit. The exhibit offers students the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in interior design, collaborating with their groupmates and suppliers to create cohesive designs that align with a specific theme and budget.
